How it started.
Juan grew up in Havana and built a modeling career in Spain. Tenerife’s official tourism profile traces the start of that career to Barcelona. Tom Ford became the turning point: Juan fronted the designer’s fashion and grooming work, opening the door to an international career.

Agency credits include Giorgio Armani, Jean Paul Gaultier and Massimo Dutti, alongside editorial work for GQ, Vanity Fair and Vogue Spain. In a 2026 Xmag interview, Juan described keeping a classic, elegant image online and said the Tom Ford collaboration had changed the scale of their career.

Juan joined MasterChef Celebrity in 2017 and played Lorenzo in Mateo Gil’s 2018 film Las leyes de la termodinámica. Television work later included Toy Boy and Fernando Collado in La Moderna. Winning El Desafío in 2022 added another chapter, followed by a return to the kitchen for MasterChef Celebrity Legends in 2026.
