Mini bio
How it started.
Junya began on TikTok in 2018. The appeal was easy to follow across languages: physical jokes, unexpected tumbles and a smile after the punchline. By July 2020, Yutura reported that Junya had become the first Japanese TikToker to reach 10 million followers.
From clips to compilations.
The YouTube channel opened on September 14, 2020, giving fans compilations of Junya’s TikTok videos. Collab Japan announced 10 million subscribers on October 12, 2021. In January 2023, it announced that Junya had become the first Japanese creator to pass 20 million YouTube subscribers.
A joke you can see.
Junya’s work relies on visible setups and expressive reactions. Yutura highlighted the distinctive “Junya dance” and easy-to-understand physical gags, while Collab Japan described an audience reaching countries including the United States and India. The channel continues to carry the recurring “junya1gou funny video” series.
