Mini bio

How it started.

Kai began sharing outfits on Tumblr and Lookbook in high school, developing a style through thrifting. The audience grew in college, and the blog became an online magazine before Kai focused on social content. A first paid collaboration with a Florida boutique brought in $200.

Making it a career.

In the DFW Running Talk interview, Kai describes studying mass communications and media studies, working in radio and at KSLA News 12, then becoming a full-time creator in 2022. COSIGN reports partnerships with Adidas, Walmart, Dove and HOKA.

Finding a running community.

Kai documented half-marathon training through Curvy Girl Running Chronicles. The Run Project bio describes founding a 50-mile challenge for curvy, plus-size, beginner and back-of-the-pack women. That community is now Sweaty & Steady, with space for different paces and experience levels.
