Mini bio
How it started.
Kaitlyn grew up in South Jersey and studied food marketing. Famous Birthdays dates the start of her Instagram to December 2020, during her senior year of college. Before creating full time, she worked at PepsiCo, starting as an intern in 2020 and later working in Frito-Lay sales and retail media.
The bagel quest.
In June 2023, she began trying bagel shops around New York City. In her Spoon University interview, she explained that a Sister Snacking video inspired her to visit Popup Bagels. Viewers responded to her review, and she decided to keep exploring shops across the city.
Beyond bagels.
Her restaurant work expanded into reviewing every restaurant on the New York Times’ NYC Top 100 list. In her January 2026 yearly report, she said she had finished the list in 2025 and was doing it again. She also shared that she had left her corporate job, citing the strain of combining both careers and limits on food-brand partnerships.
