Katherine grew up in Baytown and studied at Texas A&M. Her degree in Animal Science and certificate in Meat Science sit neatly alongside the food and outdoor interests fans see in her work.
How it started.
She began YouTube while studying abroad in Australia so her family could follow along. Cooking and fishing were already family traditions: her grandparents ran an offshore charter, and she later became a licensed charter captain herself.
Finding an audience.
Her early online work included keto recipes and lifestyle videos under Katherine Michelle. By February 2020, her own media kit listed 3.2 million Facebook followers. Today, her official links guide fans to separate outdoor and Girl Gone Grilling channels.
From the grill to television.
Her work now includes recipe collaborations with the Mushroom Council and a July 2026 Houston Life cooking appearance. Alongside food and fishing, she shares travel, gymnastics and updates on building a home.
