Mini bio
How it started.
A job at a psychiatric hospital in Augusta, Georgia, in 2015 helped steer Kojo toward mental health work. He began his doctorate in 2016 and graduated from Augusta University in 2019. While studying, he also co-founded the clothing company Abrantie & Signora with friends to spread positive messages.
Finding his audience.
Kojo recalls posting his first TikTok while promoting You Already Won in Detroit. It drew little attention. When he returned in December 2019 with short comedy sketches in scrubs, viewers began asking about his work, opening the door to mental health videos.
Making room for longer stories.
He became a full-time social media creator in 2021 and started Sarfo Entertainment to develop work that could educate and entertain. His videos draw on both his nursing training and his experience of a late ADHD diagnosis.
Beyond the short clips.
His 2022 workbook Feeling Good! uses prompts and activities to help readers reflect on their mental health. He also hosts The Neurodivergent Struggles Show, with conversations about the everyday experiences of ADHD and autism.
