Mini bio
How it started.
Laura grew up in Gravesend and began baking at around eight. Working as a digital manager when Bake Off introduced its 2020 contestants, Laura enjoyed updating classic bakes with strong flavours and detailed decoration.
The breakout.
Reaching the 2020 Great British Bake Off final brought Laura a wider audience. The platform became a place to talk about plus-size representation, clothing and body image, alongside a love of baking.
Finding a voice.
In January 2022, Laura and best friend Lauren Smith launched Go Love Yourself with Crowd Network, discussing confidence and unlearning diet culture. The show won silver for Best New Podcast at the 2023 ARIAS. Laura’s first book, Diet Starts Monday, followed in January 2024.
Fashion and community.
Laura’s collaboration with Lottie Drynan, Same Dress Different Bodies, grew into a live fashion and body confidence show at the London Palladium in March 2025. More recently, Laura has spoken publicly about IVF and early motherhood, including a 2026 Netmums Podcast appearance.
