Mini bio

How it started.

Leila grew up in Portage, Michigan, and moved to Orange County in 2015 to work in fitness. Her official biography describes how she became the top-selling personal trainer in her region within a year. After meeting Alex Hormozi, she joined his gym turnaround work.

The business breakthrough.

The gym work became a licensing model: owners could use the systems without the founders flying in to run every turnaround. Leila and Alex went on to build Gym Launch, the supplement business Prestige Labs and lead automation software ALAN. Their company reports that all three businesses were sold in 2021.

Building beyond the gym.

Leila co-founded Acquisition.com with Alex and now serves as managing partner and chairwoman. Her focus includes hiring, company culture and the systems that help teams grow.

Sharing the lessons.

BUILD began in January 2023. Her videos and podcast bring those operating lessons to a wider audience, while Leila’s Letters publishes memos she sends her own team. In July 2026 she added Dear Leila, a call-in show where viewers bring questions about work, leadership and life.
