Mini bio
How it started.
Lexi grew up on Long Island with a love of food. She says changes she made to her eating and lifestyle in 2012, following gut-related problems, prompted her to experiment in the kitchen. She launched Lexi’s Clean Kitchen in May 2013 while working as an elementary art teacher.
Making it her work.
Within two years, the hobby had become a full-time business. In June 2015, she left teaching to focus on the blog. Her recipes span quick dinners, baking, family meals, and meal prep, with gluten-free cooking at the center.
From screen to cookbook.
Her first cookbook, released November 8, 2016, brought together more than 150 recipes with photographs and ingredient guides. One enduring reader favorite on her site is her almond-flour Paleo Pancakes, which she also makes as waffles.
