Mini bio
How it started.
Lindsay grew up baking with her mom and sister. A basic cake decorating class with her mom and friend Melody in summer 2015 introduced her to decorating. During her neuroscience master’s, baking became a creative outlet alongside her research into Parkinson’s disease.
Finding her audience.
In 2017, encouragement from family and friends led her to start @theflourgirl_ to share her cakes. That account grew into a place for decorating demonstrations, recipes and advice for other bakers. She expanded into The Flour Girl Shop in 2019.
Sharing what she learns.
Her work includes custom cakes, themed dessert collections and TFG Academy classes. Cakes 101 teaches layered cakes and buttercream finishing, while Pricing 101 covers costs, labour and order policies. In her own shop biography, she also describes working as a radiation therapist.
