Mini bio
How it started.
Mark and his longtime friend Affiong Harris began making videos in Waco in 2012. When the friends went away to college, Mark kept creating at the University of North Texas. Short Instagram clips helped him find an audience, and he persuaded his friends to move into a house together to make videos.
Finding his audience.
When People Take Anime Too Far became an early viral hit. Mark brought the same love of anime, basketball and music into RDCWorld’s sketches. He told GQ that Kevin Edwards Jr. was an early YouTube inspiration.
Building the dream.
RDCWorld’s name means Real Dreams Change the World. Mark’s work now includes short films, the Imagine That comic and Dream Con, a convention where fans gather around anime, gaming and wider pop culture.
