How it started.
Sayuri passed Nogizaka46’s first-generation audition on August 21, 2011. Alongside Mai Shiraishi and Nanami Hashimoto, they became known to fans as the group’s “Gosanke” trio, and earned a place in the selected lineup for all 27 singles released before their graduation in July 2021.
From idol to screen and fashion.
Modeling and acting grew alongside the music career. Sayuri modeled for CanCam from 2015 to 2021 and became a regular BAILA model in 2021. Screen roles include devoted idol fan Eripiyo in the Oshibudo movie and café worker Mai Fushigi in Yabusaka de wa Gozaimasen. Sayuri also produces the clothing brand Lantinam, whose first anniversary book featured fellow Nogizaka46 alum Manatsu Akimoto.

Mogumogu Sayuringo began in December 2024, giving fans a place to watch Sayuri enjoy restaurant meals. Its Rairaitei debut became the channel’s most-viewed video by July 2025, when the channel reached 200,000 subscribers. A second channel followed in December 2025 for videos closer to everyday life.
