Friends first.
Mitali and Summiyya met in primary school. In their interview with The Lifestyle Journalist, they recalled starting on Facebook before Instagram, sharing fashion inspiration while styling clients and selling their own clothing and accessories.
Two creative backgrounds.
Mitali studied Fine Arts, Apparel Merchandising and Art History at Indiana University, then worked in PR. Summiyya attended Jai Hind College and trained in jewellery design and manufacturing at the Indian Institute of Jewellery. Together they built MISU Fashion Consultants around their shared interest in styling.
A wider fashion world.
Their Instagram work earned Cosmopolitan India’s Best Instagram award in 2016. Harper’s Bazaar later highlighted their attendance at Paris Fashion Week in 2017 and collaborations with Dior, Louis Vuitton, Chopard and BMW. Their own Paris diary takes fans backstage at L’Oréal’s Champs-Élysées show.
Making pieces of their own.
Their work also reaches into jewellery design. Seraph, discussed with Shazé in November 2024, followed their earlier Stellar collection. The duo described a design approach built around pieces that can work across changing moods and wardrobes.
