Mini bio
How it started.
Nathan launched Bored of Lunch in March 2020 while working from home. He wanted to help people cook meals that fitted around busy days. His first Instagram recipe was spiced parsnip soup made in a slow cooker.
From phone videos to books.
He built his audience with approachable recipes using everyday ingredients. The Healthy Slow Cooker Book arrived in January 2023, followed by The Healthy Air Fryer Book in March. He left his telecoms job in June 2023 to focus on Bored of Lunch.
Still learning.
Nathan credits his mother and grandmother with sparking his interest in food. After establishing his books and TV work, he enrolled in a 12-week course at Ballymaloe Cookery School in County Cork in 2025. His work now spans recipes, cookbooks, a newspaper column and television.
