Finding her voice.
Her first cookbook, How to Eat, arrived in 1998. It brought her pleasure in eating and practical home cooking onto the page. Nigella Bites followed on television in 1999, while How to Be a Domestic Goddess, published in 2000, made baking another central part of her work.
Cooking as company.
Her books include Nigella Express and Cook, Eat, Repeat, which combines recipes with essays about food. On her website she shares recipes and Cookbook Corner recommendations. In 2026 she joined The Great British Bake Off as a judge and became a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature.
