Mini bio
How it started.
Nikki spent 20 years in journalism before launching Styling You in 2008. Her newspaper work included fashion and beauty editing. The blog began as a way to market a personal styling business, then became the business itself.
Finding her audience.
Winning the business category and overall prize in the 2011 Best Australian Blogs competition gave Styling You a national profile. Her posts decoding Nina Proudman’s outfits in Offspring also brought readers looking for ways to recreate the character’s style.
Style for everyday life.
She began sharing outfits under #everydaystyle in late 2013 and published Unlock Your Style in 2014. Her annual Swimsuit Edition, also launched in 2013, invites women to see a wider range of bodies represented in swimwear.
A new chapter.
Nikki launched Styling You The Label in 2019 and closed it in June 2025. Her blog and Substack continue with wardrobe ideas, beauty, travel and reflections on midlife.
