How it started.
After moving to Noida, Nisha wanted a productive way to spend time at home. In a Femina interview, Nisha recalled beginning a recipe and kitchen-tips blog in 2007. Reader requests and encouragement from family led to cooking videos in 2011, filmed in a home kitchen studio.
Finding an audience.
Nisha’s husband filmed the early videos before leaving for work. Viewers responded to the clear explanations and familiar ingredients. In 2014, Google featured the channel among India’s YouTube Top Chefs, describing recipes made in a home kitchen with easily available ingredients.
Recipes that stay close to home.
The recipe collection spans everyday vegetarian dishes, street-food favourites and festival sweets. Nisha’s own rasgulla guide tackles the practical questions home cooks ask, including why the sweets turn hard, break or shrink. In 2025, StarPlus also featured Nisha presenting recipes on television.
