Mini bio
How it started.
Before the podcast, Rhonda was a biochemistry student at UC San Diego and an avid surfer. Work in the Salk Institute’s aging laboratory drew her toward biology: watching experiments change the lifespan of tiny nematode worms made aging a question she wanted to pursue.
From the lab to the microphone.
She earned her doctorate through the University of Tennessee, conducting graduate research at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, then studied micronutrients with Bruce Ames at Children’s Hospital Oakland Research Institute. Her public work brought that interest in nutrition and aging into videos and conversations. She established FoundMyFitness, LLC in 2014 and made her first Joe Rogan Experience appearance that February.
What fans follow.
FoundMyFitness pairs interviews with researchers and solo explainers about subjects such as sulforaphane, sauna, sleep and exercise. Her member Q&As let listeners bring their own questions. In 2025, she also took her healthspan interests to Washington, testifying before the U.S. Senate Special Committee on Aging.
