Mini bio

How it started.

Before Styled by Sally, Sally taught primary school for 13 years. She began the business in 2007 while teaching four days a week, then left teaching at the end of 2008 to style full time. Watching Trinny and Susannah’s What Not to Wear helped her see a place for styling services for everyday women.

Finding an online audience.

COVID lockdowns interrupted her work with clients and gave her time to start making styling videos. In her Brand Builders Lab interview, that shift is described as a turning point in her Instagram growth. Her work brings outfit ideas, wardrobe edits and shopping advice into everyday dressing.

Beyond the wardrobe appointment.

Sally’s projects now include her Melbourne-made graphic T-shirt and Styled, her first book. In a May 2026 Q&A, she also named regular work on ABC News Breakfast and 774 Radio Melbourne among her achievements. Her team continues personal styling as she moves toward reaching a wider audience through teaching and media.
