Mini bio

How it started.

Sarah grew up in Maryland as the youngest of four children in a Jamaican family. She built her comedy career alongside design jobs at Yahoo! and Google, starting stand-up in Atlanta. In 2014, her post 10 Tricks to Appear Smart in Meetings went viral, and she left Google that year to pursue writing and comedy.

Finding her audience.

Her workplace observations became 100 Tricks to Appear Smart in Meetings in 2016 and How to Be Successful without Hurting Men’s Feelings in 2018. In April 2020, How to Medical helped her Trump lip-sync videos reach a much wider audience. Her Netflix sketch special Everything’s Fine followed later that year.

Beyond the lip-syncs.

Her 2023 memoir Foolish follows her experiences of family, assimilation, ambition and embarrassment. She has also acted in Unfrosted, Kinda Pregnant and The Housemaid, and produced Chanel Ali’s off-Broadway show Relative Stranger. Her own channels remain a place to find new sketches and written satire.
