Mini bio
How it started.
Born and raised in South Korea, Seonkyoung moved to the United States in March 2009. Cooking became a creative outlet while adjusting to life there. Food Network shows inspired experiments with affordable ingredients, and sharing meals with Jacob led to sharing recipes on camera.
The breakthrough.
In 2013, Seonkyoung won Food Network’s Restaurant Express and opened Jayde Fuzion at the M Resort near Las Vegas. The menu brought together Japanese, Chinese and Korean small plates. Asian at Home became a place for viewers to learn recipes step by step.
Still learning.
Seonkyoung joined Netflix’s Culinary Class Wars as a White Spoon contestant in 2024. A later chapter took them to Paris: in April 2026, they wrote about graduating from Le Cordon Bleu after nine months, followed by a July diary about studying pastry at Ritz Paris Escoffier.
