Mini bio

Before the videos.

Shereen built her food career in test kitchens, recipe development and food styling. She graduated with honors from New York’s Institute of Culinary Education in 2008, then worked in food media, including hosting Cook This! with Shereen for GateHouse Media and appearing on QVC.

How it started.

Viewers kept asking for the recipes she demonstrated on QVC. In October 2019, she launched Cooking with Shereen across YouTube, TikTok and Instagram. She later told 6abc that a video of her mother’s chicken cutlets took off, showing her that everyday kitchen skills were exactly what people wanted to learn.

From scratch to the bookshelf.

Her banana bread became one of her breakout recipes. Her approach carries into two cookbooks: Cooking with Shereen from Scratch: Because You Can! and Rockstar Dinners! Both pair recipes with the Chefie Tips fans know from her videos, helping readers build confidence as they cook.

Sharing the table.

Her work now includes television alongside her online recipes. In 2025, she joined David Burke and Brooke Baevsky for American Kitchen on Fox Nation. She also appeared with her daughter Isabella on NFCR’s All Things Cancer podcast to discuss their family’s experience of cancer and their support for research.
