Mini bio

Before the music.

Stellar grew up near Lowell, Massachusetts. Before pursuing music, Sid ran a Fortnite YouTube channel called Nova Cast in high school. Juice WRLD’s freestyles inspired the move into writing songs. The debut mixtape, Bipolar, arrived on August 6, 2019.

When Ashes caught on.

In 2020, Stellar promoted “Ashes” through a TikTok campaign that paid people when videos using the song reached view milestones. Berklee reported that the track reached No. 3 on Spotify’s Global Viral 50 and led to an Arista Records deal that October. Sid took a break from Worcester Polytechnic Institute to pursue music in Los Angeles.

Building the catalogue.

Stellar describes the music as pop shaped by hip-hop and EDM. “Daredevil” drew on a difficult past relationship. The ten-track Prince of Darkness followed in December 2024, and 2025 brought a separate outlet for electronic music: the SIDD DJ project, introduced with “OVERDRIVE.” In 2026, releases included Love Letter and the Black Gryph0n and Baasik collaboration “Bad News.”

Trivia

The name Stellar comes from Interstellar, one of Sid’s favourite films at the time, and keeps the space theme of the earlier Nova Cast channel.
Stellar cites both Juice WRLD and Maroon 5 as major influences.
SIDD is Stellar’s own DJ project. The OVERDRIVE announcement described it as a place to experiment with electronic music.
