Mini bio

How it started.

Verena began with her friend Sophia and their shared fashion blog, The Skinny and the Curvy One. As “The Curvy One,” she contributed outfits, styling tips and travel stories. Her official biography also describes her work as an art dealer alongside the blog.

Fashion and self-acceptance.

Their work grew beyond outfit posts into conversations about body image. In 2018, Verena and Sophia published Selbstbewusst ist das neue Sexy, a book challenging body shaming and narrow beauty ideals. ZEITjUNG reported that it entered the Börsenblatt bestseller list at number 10.

Making room for more bodies.

In 2020, Verena and Julia Kremer started #RespectMySize, a campaign against weight discrimination. She later co-hosted the Respect My Size podcast and, from August 2024, Curvy Bestie Club with Julia and Tanja Marfo. The trio said goodbye to that podcast in November 2025.

From outfits to the studio.

Verena’s enthusiasm for Reformer Pilates led her to launch PIMABÉ in July 2025. She wanted stylish grip socks with comfortable cuffs and room for different bodies. Her brand’s official biography now also identifies her as a certified Reformer Pilates instructor.
