Mini bio
Learning from Mom.
Yumna grew up with Lebanese home cooking, but did not know how to cook when she got married. After work, she would pick up dinner from her mother. In 2007, she began learning those family recipes one phone call at a time. That experience still shapes the practical, encouraging way she teaches.
From Instagram to dinner tables.
After a career in marketing, Yumna began sharing recipes on Instagram in 2013. Feel Good Foodie grew around meals that busy families could make at home, with Mediterranean ingredients woven into everyday cooking. Her baked feta pasta adaptation helped spread the trend; her recipe page credits the Finnish cooks and Grilled Cheese Social who inspired it.
Beyond the feed.
Her first book, The Feel Good Foodie Cookbook, arrived on May 7, 2024. Its 125 recipes bring Middle Eastern flavors to Midwestern family cooking, and the publisher lists it as a national bestseller. Yumna also founded Oath Oats, a packaged overnight oats brand, and collaborated with Home Chef on Mediterranean-inspired meal kits in 2025.
