Mini bio

An unexpected start.

Adrianne wanted a high-school journalism class, but a scheduling mix-up put her in cooking instead. A visit from Johnson & Wales University’s culinary department helped her choose a new path. She graduated in 2004 and published Maximum Flavor in 2005.

Building a place of her own.

After losing her younger sister Jennifer to cancer, Adrianne returned to cooking with a purpose. She used cookbook earnings and credit cards to open her Miami restaurant in 2007. A Napa Valley trip inspired its food and atmosphere; Jennifer’s call to make life count also inspired her Make It Count Foundation.

Taking fans along.

Her Searching for Maximum Flavor series follows her through food, travel, and conversations with local makers, then returns to the kitchen to recreate a destination-inspired dish. Cookbooks, a podcast, livestreams, and culinary events give fans more ways to explore her approach.
