Family roots.
Born in Guadalajara and raised in El Salto, Jalisco, Alfredo moved to the United States at 26. Missing the food of home, he began cooking for visiting family and friends. In his Cocina interview, he recalls his mother and aunts preparing Christmas meals.
How the channel began.
His wife Sandra encouraged him to start a YouTube channel for two years. During the pandemic, they created El Sazón de Freddy together. His aim is to bring families around the table and keep meaningful recipes alive.
A growing cooking community.
By his February 2025 appearance on ¡Echale Podcast!, the show described his audience as nearly 900,000 on TikTok and 50,000 on YouTube. His channel introduces recipes collected from relatives and friends. Mazola also credits him with its marinated roasted chicken recipe.
