Mini bio

How it started.

Andrés grew up in Maracay with food at the center of family life. He moved to the United States at 17 and worked in restaurants, starting as a dishwasher before taking on delivery, waiting tables and bartending. He also trained in theater and built an acting career.

Finding his audience.

His 2018 run to the MasterChef Latino final brought his cooking to a wider audience. Before that, he had helped write and produce the comedy Tony Tango, released in 2015, and appeared in it as Pablo.

Recipes in seconds.

During the pandemic, Andrés and his wife bought equipment and began producing cooking videos as a business. His Recetas Express series started with garlic bread in August 2020, using short videos that kept the camera on the food. He also brought guests into the kitchen for Cometeste.

Beyond the recipe feed.

In 2024 he hosted Lucha de antojos for ViX, taking a culinary competition onto the streets of Mexico City. His work has also included Soya Miami and the morning show Mañanitas. In December 2025, Connector House announced that Andrés and Evy were selling their stake to focus on Andrés Cooking.
