Mini bio
How it started.
Andrew studied visual arts and began helping behind the scenes when Larisha started blogging, first working on logos before finding his interest in photography and video. In his interview with Gia Peppers, he recalls growing up in Camden, New Jersey, in a Jamaican family where the kitchen was the center of home life.
A family project.
Andrew and Larisha launched Make It Dairy Free publicly on October 1, 2018. Dairy-free cooking had become part of family life while Larisha was breastfeeding. On launch day they began a vegan challenge and stayed vegan afterward, building the site around recipes and practical resources.
Finding his audience.
The Nard Dog Cooks brought his recipe demonstrations to a dedicated YouTube channel. Social Blade records its creation in April 2022 and a rise to 250,000 subscribers in 2023. His current channel pairs cooking tutorials with a recipe site, covering everything from bean dinners and high-protein breakfasts to vegan versions of familiar desserts.
