How it started.

Andy grew up in New Zealand, helping his mum in the kitchen from about three. In Year 10 he left school and enrolled in chef school. His career took him through kitchens in Auckland, London, Singapore, Sydney and Melbourne.

From chef to home cook.

Before the videos, Andy spent around two decades working as a professional chef. His jobs included Felix, Gills Diner and ST. ALi, followed by Group Executive Chef at Emirates Leisure Retail and an executive chef role at Kilcoy Global Foods. He began creating content in November 2021 to improve his own home cooking and help others along the way.

The Babe years.

Fans got to know him through “Hey, Babe”, asking his partner Katelyn what she wanted to eat and then making it. The videos grew across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and Facebook. In 2023 he released his first cookbook, gathering recipes for shared meals alongside practical chef techniques. That year he also topped YouTube’s Australian creator list.
