Mini bio
How it started.
After moving to the United States in 1997, Archana missed her mother’s cooking. With her guidance, she learned to recreate those flavors and began sharing simplified recipes with family and friends.
A family archive grows.
She launched Ministry of Curry in 2016 to preserve family recipes and stories. Her work pairs Indian flavors with modern cooking methods, giving home cooks detailed instructions for everyday meals and celebrations.
From blog to book.
Her first cookbook arrived on October 16, 2018, from Ten Speed Press. Authorized by Instant Pot, it gathers 75 recipes spanning curries, dals, breakfasts and desserts. In January 2022, The Drew Barrymore Show featured her Instant Pot butter chicken tutorial.
