Mini bio

How it started.

Clint began making TikTok lip sync videos in summer 2019. When his wife Rachael started college, he took on cooking for their children. On August 29, 2019, he filmed the fried bologna sandwich his daughter Lillian requested and came up with Poor Man’s Comfort Food.

Finding his audience.

In his 2025 Voyage LA interview, Clint said viewers found value in basic, budget meals through the pandemic and beyond. Humor and recipes that beginners can make remain central to his approach. He has also collected recipes in two cookbooks.

Beyond the kitchen.

In December 2024, he described balancing content creation with managing UCLA’s aquatics facilities. He credited Rachael and their four daughters with helping shape his videos, and discussed sharing his family’s experience of type 1 diabetes with Lillian.
