Mini bio
A shared start in lacrosse.
Colin Rosenblum and Samir Chaudry began working together in 2012 through The Lacrosse Network. Samir spotted Colin’s lacrosse videos in Colorado and persuaded him to come to Los Angeles for a three-month internship. Their partnership grew into game broadcasts, talk shows and documentaries. Whistle acquired the network in 2014.
Finding their subject.
They went independent in 2016 to build the Colin and Samir channel. Finding a focus took years, with freelance production helping pay for their own videos. A yearlong Samsung ambassador contract in early 2020 gave them room to concentrate on the creator economy. Interviews, industry analysis and lessons from their own experience became the thread connecting their work.
A home for creator conversations.
Their interviews explore how creators build careers and businesses, with guests including MrBeast, Emma Chamberlain and Ryan Trahan. The work extends into The Publish Press newsletter and Creator Startup education platform. In 2022, they crossed one million YouTube subscribers while speaking at VidSummit, as the audience shared their channel and watched the live count rise.
Making space to start over.
After the January 2025 Los Angeles fires, they began reconsidering how they spent their time and what they wanted to make. Their 2026 Lexus partnership, Start Over, follows adventures in search of a creative reset. The project also supports Palisades Beautiful’s work to replant the community’s native tree canopy.
