Mini bio
How it started.
Jennifer traces her drive to teach to the gaps in her own sex education at an all-girls Catholic school. She told Ms. that she began using social media around 2018, starting on Instagram before fellow doctors encouraged her to try TikTok. Her early videos went viral, turning everyday reproductive health questions into a much larger conversation.
Beyond the exam room.
She trained at Tulane and completed her OB-GYN residency at Oregon Health and Science University in 2011. As an OB hospitalist in Portland, she cares for pregnant and postpartum patients in the hospital. Her books and podcasts extend that teaching to people who may never meet her in an exam room.
Keeping the conversation going.
Her first book, Let’s Talk About Down There, came out in September 2021. In 2026 she published The Birth Book and hosted Let’s Talk About Birth, bringing other clinicians and parents into conversations about childbirth and recovery. She also founded Three for Freedom, a resource website about reproductive healthcare access, and serves on Mayday Health’s board.
