Mini bio
How it started.
Emma began emmmabooks in 2014. In a Q&A with Zoë Herdt, she recalled that seeing The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones in 2013 led her to Cassandra Clare’s books and renewed her appetite for reading. Videos about pronouncing words from the series helped her discover BookTube.
Finding her readers.
By the time of Herdt’s early interview, Emma was sharing her videos with almost 50,000 viewers while studying psychology and working several jobs. Her channel grew around YA reviews, hauls, reading wrap-ups and book discussions. Shadowhunters became a recurring thread, including her own City of Bones locations tour.
Books and representation.
Emma has made mental health representation part of her book conversations. In her 2017 Mimp interview, she called for a wider range of experiences in YA fiction and stories that show recovery. Her January 2022 vlog also gave viewers a look at her week as a full-time therapist.
Catching up.
The latest verified event found for this page is her sharing Cassandra Clare’s December 2023 title announcement. The videos collected here are older uploads with their original dates; no new creator activity from November 2024 through November 2026 could be verified.
