How it started.
Erica told PAPER that becoming a personal stylist was the original plan, while the blog began as a hobby. As the blog grew, Erica chose to follow where it led.
Finding an audience.
Fashioned Chic became a home for personal style that mixes polished pieces with an edge. This Is Glamorous featured Erica’s San Diego street style in September 2016, and PAPER later interviewed Erica as a Fashioned Chic founder with 1.1 million followers.
A creative partnership.
After meeting at a networking event, Erica and Lucy Hernandez of Lucy’s Whims became friends and creative collaborators. In their June 2019 LIKEtoKNOW.it Influencer Radio episode, they discussed building careers as stylists and influencers while photographing each other and traveling together.
From outfits to a collection.
The Santaella x Fashioned|Chic collaboration brings that fashion perspective to leather pieces. The official collection includes the Tallulah Tank, Anya Ruched Skirt and Hazel Bustier. Erica’s LTK posts continue the styling conversation with practical fit notes and ideas for wearing individual pieces.
