Mini bio

How it started.

Before fashion became the focus, Genji trained and performed as a comedian. A photo of a favorite biker jacket posted to WEAR drew an unexpectedly strong response. Genji’s own timeline marks July 2015 as the month they became a WEARISTA, followed by a move into YouTube in May 2016.

Finding a following.

Outfit photos became practical explanations of how clothes work together. Genji developed an approach that balances casual and polished pieces, making styling easier to understand and try. Their WEAR biography records reaching 500,000 YouTube subscribers in March 2019.

From outfits to clothing.

Genji launched LIDNM in April 2017 and WYM in February 2020. Their current profile also lists Llife among their own brands. Today the channel mixes shopping advice for adults with collection walkthroughs, styling demonstrations and collaborations.

Beyond video.

In a May 2018 introduction on note, Genji explained that writing offered a way to reach older readers who wanted help with clothes and to share knowledge about online influence. That same year’s self-introduction traces the move from WEAR at 20 to YouTube at 21 and founding an apparel business at 22.
