Mini bio

How it started.

Jazza began making web animation at 13. After high school, he made animated shorts and Flash games, with support from sites including Newgrounds and Armor Games.

Finding his audience.

In 2012, he launched Draw with Jazza to share self-taught techniques in character design, illustration and animation. Tutorials became the foundation of a channel that also makes room for playful challenges and unfamiliar materials.

Stories beyond the sketchbook.

His 2016 book Creating Characters turns character invention into a practical drawing process. That same year, The Tale Teller brought his writing, animation and music together, with environment art by Greg Bartlett and narration by Toby Ricketts.

New worlds.

In August 2025, he announced his first novel, The Ascendants, the opening book in his planned Threadweavers series. His 2026 videos continue his experiments with painting, sculpture and stop-motion, including a puppet prototype and an upcoming short film project.
