Mini bio

How it started.

Jessica started the fashion blog Tiny Red Shoes in 2012. In a later essay, Jessica described going from avoiding full-body photos to sharing outfit pictures, then gradually feeling comfortable wearing skirts, showing arms and posting swimsuit photos.

Finding a voice.

The blog and Instagram helped Jessica land a first fashion reporting job. In a 2018 first-person account for HipLatina, Jessica described creating viral videos at work before leaving to build an independent career. At Revelist, Jessica wrote, produced and appeared in videos.

Making room.

Jessica uses fashion and beauty to discuss body diversity. That work includes a design collaboration with Tamara Malas and The Fat Girls Club, co-hosted with Liesl Binx from 2018 to 2021. All Things Fat brings together shopping resources and personal essays about living in a fat body.

New conversations.

In April 2025, Jessica and partner Luna Lopez spoke to GO Magazine about preparing Femme4Femme, a podcast combining lesbian culture, history and their own conversations. They described wanting to learn alongside their listeners.
