How it started.
Katie grew up in British Columbia baking oatmeal chocolate chip cookies with her mother and sisters. After her eldest daughter was born, she began spending more time experimenting with cookies, cupcakes and homemade cakes. She taught herself to bake and made bold flavor combinations part of Caked by Katie’s identity.
From her kitchen to television.
Her work has taken her onto Netflix’s Cook at All Costs and Food Network Canada’s The Big Bake Holiday. For The Big Bake, she teamed up with Fabulous Cakes by Jenn and created a tropical coconut cake with lemon curd and guava filling for the Reindeer Games theme.
