Mini bio
How it started.
Mandy started Baking with Blondie while her husband attended law school at Brigham Young University. She had graduated from BYU and was balancing work and, later, life with a toddler. Trying new dinner recipes grew into a love of food photography and recipe development.
Finding her focus.
She eventually realized that cakes were the part of food blogging she most looked forward to. Her FAQ credits that shift with helping her Instagram take off. Today, her work gives home bakers practical ways to bake, stack, frost, and decorate their own cakes.
From the blog to books.
Cake Confidence arrived in 2019, followed by I’ll Bring the Cake in April 2023. Both use boxed cake mixes as a starting point for more elaborate flavors and decorations. She also brought her dark chocolate huckleberry shake cake to Good Morning America in March 2023.
