How it started.

Natalya grew up in Ukraine and moved to the Chicago area in 2010. She studied geography with teaching in mind and worked in travel before baking. At Mariano’s bakery, she learned production skills while exploring sourdough at home.

Finding her audience.

Her bread videos reached a wider audience during the 2020 lockdown. Forbes reported that her Instagram following was growing by thousands a day and singled out a popular video of her stretching panettone dough.

Sharing the process.

She built Natasha’s Baking into a home for recipes and online lessons. Her teaching covers sourdough, croissants, panettone and gluten-free baking. In 2021, her first cookbook brought starter care, loaves and discard recipes into a guide for families.
