A family kitchen.
Rupam grew up in Meerut and spent 12 years in corporate work. Becoming a mother to twins drew her further into cooking: she wanted quick, nourishing dishes her children would enjoy. Her own website places that everyday family challenge at the centre of Cook With Rupam Sehtya.
The first video.
Her TEDx biography says she left corporate work in 2019 to join her husband’s production house. When lockdown stopped their work, the pair made their first recipe video on its fourth day. In her Eat My News interview, she recalled that the response to her recipes and stories helped turn a hobby into a new career.

At Studio What Nxt, Rupam is credited as co-founder and producer. She describes enjoying directing artists and narrators. Her food channel carries that interest in storytelling into home cooking, and her Best Everyday Chef jury award in 2025 recognised that work.
