Mini bio
How it started.
Sarah grew up in Walkerston, Queensland, and first learned to bake the sweets her mum made. A modelling career took her overseas. In London, she studied French cooking at Le Cordon Bleu while learning Punjabi home cooking from her son’s grandparents.
The kitchen that changed things.
Her 2014 appearance on MasterChef Australia brought her cooking to a wider audience. In 2015, she opened Antares Restaurant & Beach Club in Goa. The build and opening became the six-part series My Restaurant in India, followed by another series about her Mumbai venture, The Wine Rack.
Finding her own flavour.
Sarah returned to MasterChef in 2022 and finished runner-up to Billie McKay, two points behind. She has described that season as the moment her French training and love of Indian flavours came together into a clearer cooking style. Her work also includes cookbooks, travel television and the Hot Toddy sauce range.
