A kitchen upbringing.
Born in Ankara in 1984, Şükran grew up around food. In her Lezzet interview, she credits a mother skilled in pastry and a father who enjoyed world cuisines with encouraging her curiosity.
From blog to video.
She began sharing recipes through blog posts, then reached a wider audience on Instagram. Her own biography describes how food photography, videos and presentation helped her following grow. She continued with recipes and vlogs on YouTube.
Recipes to keep.
Her books include Şükran Kaymak’la Çay Saati, Şükran Kaymak’la Pratik Tarifler and a Ramadan collection built around 30 days and 30 menus. The publisher dates Çay Saati to April 2016; its recipes include cakes, cookies and poğaça.

In 2026 she hosted Şükran Kaymak’la Ramazan Sofrası for Show TV, combining traditional menus with guest conversations. She also appeared as herself in Kızılcık Şerbeti. Her earlier YouTube series Şükran Kaymak Evimde took her into followers’ homes to cook together.
