Mini bio
How it started.
Brian went vegan in March 2018 and began rebuilding the foods he already loved with plant-based ingredients. His wife April encouraged him to give his burger experiments their own Instagram account. When followers asked for recipes, he started writing down his methods and sharing them.
Finding his place.
Vegan versions of familiar burgers became his calling card, alongside oyster mushroom fried chicken. His 2022 cookbook, Vegan Fast Food, brought that approach to burgers, tacos, breakfast dishes and sweets. The aim is familiar food that welcomes people who are new to veganism or cooking.
Beyond the burger.
Brian expanded from Instagram to YouTube and a recipe blog. In a 2024 interview, he described building the site into a digital cookbook, with versatile recipes fans could return to whenever they wanted to cook.
