Mini bio
How it started.
Thomas grew up in Gainesville, Florida, and found an audience onstage before he found one online. He performed at the Gainesville Community Playhouse while studying chemical engineering at the University of Florida. After graduating in 2011, he worked in engineering alongside theatre.
Six seconds at a time.
He began posting to Vine in spring 2013. An early Stewie Griffin impression helped him break through, and Narrating People’s Lives made everyday encounters into short Storytime sketches. As his audience grew, he left engineering to focus on videos and theatre.
Meeting the Sides.
In October 2016, Thomas launched Sanders Sides on YouTube, playing different parts of his own personality as characters who talk through dilemmas. The show mixes comedy with questions about emotions, identity, and decisions. Roman later inspired the fantasy adventure Roleslaying with Roman, which stars Thomas and Terrence Williams Jr.
Music stays close.
Thomas brought his online characters to the stage in the 2016 musical tour Ultimate Storytime. His recordings include original songs and musical theatre covers. In 2026, he gave “yours” a Broadway arrangement and recorded songs from Epic: The Musical and Rocky Horror Show.
