How it started.
Before Healthy Little Peach became her full-time work, Ashley taught elementary school and ran a cupcake business called Sweet Little Things Co. She also competed on Food Network’s Cupcake Wars. Her June 2017 welcome post introduced her as “Mac,” a Missouri teacher sharing recipes and everyday life.
Finding her audience.
In her Simple Pin interview, Mac traced the idea to a family beach trip in July 2016. She began posting daily, and Whole30 recipe takeovers helped her reach more home cooks. She recalled gaining 30,000 followers overnight from one takeover. She left teaching in 2019; her husband Joel joined the business full time in 2020.

Her 2020 Clean Paleo Family Cookbook brought together 100 Paleo-inspired recipes with keto modifications. On her site today, Mac makes room for both whole-food meals and richer comfort dishes, with options for different dietary needs. Joel works alongside her as Healthy Little Peach’s chief operating officer.
