How it started.
Before building an audience of her own, Kellie worked as a creative director, marketer and publicist. She launched And I Get Dressed in 2012, creating a place for people in bigger bodies to find style inspiration. The blog has since evolved into a newsletter about outfits and beauty.
Making herself seen.
In 2018, a fashion-week event full of stylish women in bigger bodies helped spark #FatAtFashionWeek. Kellie used the hashtag to make space for street-style images and fashion workers who were often missing from mainstream coverage. She later told its story in her own Teen Vogue essay.
From outfits to rooms.
Kellie created Deeply Madly Modern as a separate space for her love of interiors. On Home Decor Homies, she visits friends and creators to talk about the spaces they live in and the stories behind their choices. Her newsletters carry that same personal approach into vintage sourcing, decorating and fashion.
