Mini bio
How it started.
Kelly launched Just a Taste in 2008 to preserve and share her family’s recipes. Its name comes from her great-grandmother Momoo, who encouraged having a little dessert after every meal.
Finding her direction.
She told Woman’s World she originally planned to become a political reporter. Cooking after reporting assignments helped her unwind, and she began finding food angles for her journalism stories. Culinary school helped turn that interest into a career in food media.
Building Just a Taste.
After working at Gourmet Live and Epicurious, Kelly left Condé Nast in 2013 to pursue Just a Taste full-time. Her books span food blogging and family cooking, while Sports & Forks brings athletes into conversations about food and life.
A familiar favorite.
Her Easy Beef and Broccoli is a signature Just a Taste recipe. In her 2026 stir-fry sauce post, Kelly called it her most popular recipe of all time.
